As you will recall from Podcast #1, I worked as a photographer covering a Green Bay Packers game. As proof I submit the following two photographs;
The first shows me in the background as Coach (Ex) Mike Sherman runs onto Lambeau Field. I'm in the silver oval to the left and I'm paying attention to the tunnel where the players come out as they are introduced.
The second photo shows me with my very good friend Brett Favre. You can see the top of my head as well as part of my arm and hand as I'm holding a camera overhead in hopes of getting lucky with a shot.
The second photo got me thinking. Where was the person who took that picture? It's from high above the field and I don't recall any cameras being held up with booms. So I looked at the photo I took at the same instant the one above was taken. Here it is;
Look where the other people are in relation to Favre when comparing the two pictures. If the two shots weren't taken simultaneously, they're pretty close.
Now look at the little red circle in the middle of the last picture. Here it is up close;
I'm going to guess that the picture of Brett and my arm was taken by one of these two guys. The guy in the red and grey coat has his camera on a monopole. Something your run-of-the-mill fan isn't going to have. The guy next to him in the yellow and grey coat has two large cameras, one he's using and another hanging from his neck strap.
