Paparazzi!

It was raining at Kelly Lake. But real photographers know that bad weather equals good pictures. So Charlie braved the rain to work on his craft. He's a trouper.

The Barn

The Barn Bar and Restaurant in Lena, Wisconsin is an institution.  The novelty of eating a fine meal in an old milking barn just never seems to wear thin.
The clientele seems more local than tourist.  That probably tells you something about the quality of the food, and the faint-heartedness of tourists.
The next time you're in Lena (you do get there often, don't you?), head west on County A a couple of miles.  You can't miss it.
   Tell them Elvis sent you.

Fresh Snowfall

Elvis braved another cold morning to venture out to Cave Point County park in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin.  Two inches of fresh snowfall overnight guaranteed some pretty, artistic subjects.

Thick cloud cover prevented a sunrise photograph but every once in a while the sun would peak through, casting nice shadows everywhere.  Elvis set his camera up by these rocks and waited patiently.

Elvis is not complaining.  Standing on the shores of Lake Michigan watching the waves crash on the Wisconsin shore is a privilege.  Every minute here is a gift.

The Porch

Broken glass lies shattered on the floor of an abandoned farmhouse in northern Wisconsin.

Farm life is a rough life.
